Description

Pair of Dynaco A-25 speakers

One of the first speakers to use rubber surrounds and not foam!
The Dynaco A-25 aperiodic loudspeaker is a compact, high performance two way speaker system.
10 inch extended excursion woofer is matched to a specially designed soft dome tweeter with a dual section high pass filter at 1500Hz, in a cabinet design which achieves a uniquely non-resonant bass response.
The aperiodic, or non-resonant characteristic of the A-25 provides an unusually uniform impedance characteristic throughout the bass range of less than 2 in 1.
This design utilizes an acoustic impedance system which provides variable volume action rather than the totally enclosed cabinet of the acoustic suspension principle or the tuned port of the bass reflex.
Dynaco's A25 loudspeaker were some of the most popular loudspeakers ever produced.
More than 600,000 speakers were sold. (1969-76)
They provided amazingly good sound then and 50 years later still do!
The A25 is a two-way speaker with a 10" woofer and a 2.25" mid-tweeter.
The crossover is quite simple, just a 5 uF capacitor in series with a variable resistor arrangement that feeds the tweeter.
They were built with 8 uF capacitors.
The woofer connects directly to the binding posts, and the crossover relies on the natural roll-off of the 10" woofer.

Also have an excellent pair of original cross overs for rare Dynaco D-20XL Audiophile Speakers @ $120.00/pair
Made in DENMARK
*Shipping to anywhere in Canada is included in price!
They'll sound as good as the A-25's yet seem much more efficient.
They have just as much bass and a crisper high end!
They have as much audible bass extension as the A-25's, and are much more open on the top
Even more extended range beyond what the A-25's can reproduce.
In a side-by-side, it literally sounded like the D20-XL are three feet closer than the A-25's.
Total different look then the Dynaco A series!
The cabinet looks like a somewhat like versions of of a Bose 301.
A preferably vertical design with the panels on top and bottom and the black fabric grill covering the 3 visible sides.
The sound quality is really quite astounding for their age and size.
They are 2 way with an 8 inch woofer and a 2 inch tweeter.
The woofers have Butyl rubber surrounds, as do all Dynaco speakers.
They were made in Denmark
Dynaco sold them from 1977 - 1982.
Excellent for jazz and vocals and have quite decent bass!
They do sound amazing and are all original
If you have or find a pair of these Dynaco D-20's, I have the updated cross overs with replaced caps
